Booking a Schengen appointment in Tbilisi: where to book and how to catch an earlier date
Every consulate in Tbilisi has its own booking method — a website, email or phone. Below are the current links and contacts for 14 consulates that accept applications directly, plus the tactics: how to catch an earlier date, how to chase freed-up slots and how far ahead of your trip to book.
General rules
Which website is the "right" one
Book only through the consulate's official link or that of its visa centre. Check the domain: consulates use government zones — .gv.at, .diplo.de, .esteri.it, e-konsulat.gov.pl, mfa.*, gouv.fr and the like. Third-party "booking services" charge for something that is free and don't always actually reserve a slot. The list below leads to the official systems.
How to catch an earlier date
Slots open in batches, often at night or early morning Tbilisi time and early in the week. Log into the system several times a day and keep your application details ready so you can finish the booking in a couple of minutes — popular windows go fast. Some consulates release new dates weeks in advance; others use a "rolling" horizon.
Chasing cancelled and freed-up slots
When someone cancels an appointment, the slot returns to the shared pool. Check the system morning and evening; 24–72 hours before sought-after dates is when cancellations turn up most. It is slower than paying a middleman, but free and with no risk of losing a slot.
Cancelling your own later appointment
If you catch an earlier date, cancel the old appointment right away — in the same system or by email to the consulate. That frees the slot for others and avoids confusion from two active appointments for one applicant.
Do a couple or family need two slots in a row
Usually yes: each applicant needs a separate appointment, and it's best to take them back-to-back or in the same window so you can attend together. Some consulates let one booking cover several people — you'll see this in the system at the booking step; if there's no such option, book separate slots.
How far ahead of the trip to book
As early as possible. Under the EU Visa Code you can submit documents up to 6 months before the intended trip (9 months for seafarers) and no later than 15 calendar days before. In high season (spring–summer) appointments are taken weeks out, so aim for 2–3 months before the trip and start looking for a slot even earlier.
Where you apply directly, and where through a partner consulate
Not every Schengen country has a visa section in Tbilisi. Some accept applications themselves, some through a partner country's consulate, and some don't accept them in Tbilisi at all.

Don't want to deal with booking systems and picking a consulate — we'll book the appointment, choose the country of submission and prepare the document package so the whole application reads as one coherent story.
